Rob,  Three seconds isn't going to do that much preinfusion at 25 lbs.  I
say more like at least ten seconds plus. You really don't need to manually
preinfuse - the E-61 design does that with the chamber.  Myself, I prefer
not to manully preinfuse because it is an extra step.  - Dennis

Yes it does and yes I am.  I bring the lever up about 1/4 of the way up,
but, not so much that the pump starts.  I installed a Watts regulator into
the feed line of the Brewtus. I have the pressure set
to 25 psi, per Todd's recommendation.   At 25 psi, I let the water
trickle into the puck for about 3 seconds.  Seems to do the trick.
I'm very pleased with the quality of my drinks.  I really like not having
the vib pump in the machine.  Kind of like having bun warners in your car on
a cold winter day....
