Ben, just to ease your mind, my B1 has benn running the teflon input line for years now. i changed things around before there was any retrofit kits . my OPV is set at 11.5 , a little higher than reccomended. that is interesting about your humidity. like you, i need to tighten the grind a little as the coffee ages. - Dennis
