I have a PID’ed and well maintained Brewtus V-II, and try as I might I can’t come close to the marvelous shot quality of my local coffee shop, Local 123 in Berkeley. I’ve discussed my process at some length with the barista there, and while I’m sure there’s room for improvement in my technique, I’m not a complete rooky. I suspect (and hope) a lot of it is down to the machine at this point.
So my question to the group is if members have experience using a loftier machine than the Brewtus and if the results they achieved were noticeably superior. I’m not looking to upgrade necessarily, but I would like to hear the group’s wisdom on how much the Brewtus is a limitation and how linear the relationship is between machine cost and shot quality. - Dan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group.
