Okay, Im new on here so please dont mistake my words for something
unsavory. I dont mean like "pimping" it out - pimping it out. No
street corners in my espresso machine's future, nothing like that. I
am however looking for a project and wish to mod a few
things...aesthetically/functionally on my Bretus II. I am looking for
suggestions, possible instructions, any resources and maybe even part
#'s (if they exist and you know them).

okay so here are my ideas of a "good sunday afternoon" of tinkering:

1) change out the steam and hot water knobs/valves and replace them
with the on/off kind found on an elektra sisxties machine. I think
those are amazing looking and would add something to the look of my
brewt. Can it be done? what sort of parts would be needed? have any of
you tried this?

2) Something to eliminate the rattle-fest of cups due to boiler refill
and vibe pump-in-action. I was originally thinking astroturf or a
blond wig but that might be a little weird and/of flammable and/or
meltable. On second thought, how about a nice thin sheet of non-porous
food safe rubber? sources for such a thing? what have the rest of you
done about rattling?

3) I want to wake up in the morning with wood. specifically teak
because of its characteristically hearty temperament around water and
temperature changes. drip tray cover made of teak? tres chic or real
weak? for sure a wood portafilter handle. and if I can do number 1
above then wooden on/off valve levers. etc etc. Do any of you do any
woodworking near the brooklyn area that I could hire to make me some
stuff?

4)...

5)New FEET! I have the pour-over version of brewtus II with those tiny
little gumdrop feet which makes it impossible to clean under the
machine without moving it. If I were to put some longer feet perhaps
meant for a Brewtus R, I could potentially find a NEW way to burn
myself while cleaning!!!

other suggestions? I want to see what you all have come up with
already.
I just need a project to keep me occupied/caffeinated.

Bestest ever,
Nadav
