I managed to get some car plastic clear coat offcuts from a friend (the stuff they use to protect against stone chips etc).
The stuff is pretty thick, clear and had an adhesive backing on it. Cut blocks of it out and stuck it over the vertical parts that the drip tray sits on. Cut down the vibration noise from it a lot and you can't even see it is there.
