hello todd,

Set the offset to 17 degrees if you are reading in degrees F.
Todd Salzman

ah, now it makes sense. i am reading in celsius, so that would be 8.5 then. thank you todd! i've been waiting for this.

(..)

this is a bit odd, i decided to set it in fahrenheit to 17 as todd recommends that and then flip it back to celsius. 17 fahrenheit is would be approx 8.33333332 celsius, it did not read 8.5 as i expected nor 8.0 which i could explain as well, but 9.0. how strange! two thirds of a degree celcius would make quite a pronounced difference in the cup, too.

does anyone grasp the logic behind all this? should i change it to 8.5 or leave it at 9?

all the best,
guido.
