HI James, I believe you said that, as soon as you turn on the machine the main circuit breaker trips.
If I am hearing your correctly then it sounds like you have a "dead short to ground" and if this is the case then there is not much you do about it yourself, unless you are very mechanical and have the proper tools or want to go out and purchase them. It is probably a bad heating element but of course I can't be sure. The easiest way to check the heating element using an Ohm meter to see if there is any continuity to ground. If this is something you want to take on your self I'll do my best to help.
