After you boil in any solvent of your choosing, you will still have residue.  
Have a look at my post on this where I did clean in that way, and then removed 
the screen from its base.  Still nasty inside.  For $6, I'll take the new 
screen, thanks.  Funny that you'd be stingy on this dave, when you sell $7,000 
machines as a "better" solution.
