Interestingly enough the pump worked normally entire week, at least pulling 2-3 shots a day. I wonder if I was tamping too hard after a couple of months of not using the machine...

It's not a complex swap out at all. Just a little awkward. I had similar on and off issues with shots until I drained down the boilers a good bit disassembling the OPV. It took a whole reservoir to refill and after that the pump was no longer subtle. It just hummed quietly without pushing any water. I put in an eax5 and it's been prefect for a couple weeks now.
