Thanks for the answers everyone. I don't know what I did different this next time but I got the gasket in no problem at all. Took less than a minute this time. I did know about the 'this end up' idea so again, not sure what was different.
I was able to get the genuine Brewtus gasket (the one from ZCafe) and its perfect. 6 O'Clock on the dot. On the Brewtus gasket it was stamped Expobar 8 which I'm now assuming means 8mm.
