What appliance timer should I get for the Brewtus 2?  The one that I was using, rated at around 1700 watts, has "burned out".  I do not know if that was due to an electrical problem in my house (there may be one - I am also looking into that) of if the timer itself could not handle the load.
I see on the label "975 watts" - but I see it twice - i assume once for the steam boiler and once for the espresso boiler.

There are 2 heating elements of 975 watts or something, but they never come on at the same time. A 1700 watt timer should be fine. Relay/switch contacts do have a limited life if they switch large currents. If you can open it up, a piece of fine black sandpaper might clean the contacts up and it might work perfectly again.
