Man, I can't tell you how much I appreciated hearing that, right after I 
got off of an unsatisfying phone call with WLL. The tech really just 
reiterated that it might be a failing heating element causing a bit of 
extra current to go into the heating, otherwise he spoke to the inferiority 
of the controller design and that I should just buy the new PID conversion 
so I don't have to guess. I wonder if this means the old controller is 
still fine? Will definitely hang onto it, because these surely aren't 
getting easier to find. I pulled a shot and filmed it, not a crema heavy 
bean but the drink tasted basically the same as what I get out of my 
Vetrano 2B. 

But what do you make of the pump sound? http://youtu.be/wYXOiBWETBA Sure 
would be nice to have that pump pressure gauge. I do also have a 
portafilter mounted pressure gauge I could test with, but I wonder if this 
means the pump is on its way out, or no big deal in your experiences.
