Here is maybe an oldie but goodie (so far).

I had gotten off using my Brewtus II for a couple years. Just got too busy
and could not stay on top of things more than just making good coffee with
my Mochamaster coffee maker.

But I have more time now. So I opened up the Brewtus II completely. Checked
all the electronics for functionality...and then changed out all of the
valves, gaskets, what have you in the E61. Happy to report that it works as
well as it ever has.

Wondering if there are added mods that are not terribly pricey that I
should consider. I saw a post from a guy that has used his much more than I
have and he now has what he described as a good deal of internal damage to
wiring and components due to heat. I am most interested in improvements
that will help me keep this thing alive. I am no longer in a place in my
life where I can just spit out four figures for a new one but love being
able to make my own cappuccino and espresso at home.

Also getting back into the machine and then looking here reminds me of an
old topic of discussion that I think has gone on forever....single hole
frother nozzle vs double hole.

I have one of the double hole nozzles that Whole Lotte Love ships for these
things if you want one. They are roundly criticized for the most part. But
I have to say that while my frothing technique needs work (out of practice)
at least I have a shot at it with the two hole nozzle. The one
hole....forget it...I have no chance...takes too long....can't find a sweet
spot for it in the pitcher to save my life. Just awful results. While my
two hole nozzle results are inconsistent at least I am getting there
sometimes.

So I am wondering if my technique is so bad maybe that my result with the
two hole vs one hole does not match others just because of that....or if it
is just not a factor.

Brewtus I, Brewtus II, Brewtus XXII, it does not seem to matter....these
machines have never been highly reviewed for their frothing while
continually receiving high marks for espresso making. Any advice for
getting the best out of the Frother on this machine?
