I have used most of the tips out there, and have reviewed many of them here.
In my opinion, the best traditional tips is the "isomac new 2 hole steam tip", from Chris coffee. This is the one with the smaller holes. The gold pro tip from 1st line is very similar in performance. Both of these give a good balance between microfoam and speed. All of the expobar tips I've used (3 of them) have holes that are too big; they are wicked fast, but hard to get good microfoam. All that said, the best tip I've ever used of any kind is the foam knife. I still use it now. It is almost as fast as pulling a shot, and actually makes too much microfoam if you're not careful! It is in a league all its own in my opinion. If memory serves, I had to change the wand also, but not the valve. It is worth the cost. Even the tips mentioned here will eventually outrun the boiler, but no problem steaming for lattes all day long. Just no giant pitchers of milk. :) Best and welcome back. bmc Sent from my iPhone > On Oct 8, 2015, at 20:03, jnug <[email protected]> wrote: > > Here is maybe an oldie but goodie (so far). > > I had gotten off using my Brewtus II for a couple years.
