Revive old thread for 2016: Last week my brew pump started sounding weak, running inconsistently. This morning it wouldn't generate more than 2 bar. No Coffee!
Water flows (albeit slowly) when the portafilter is empty (pump still sounds gimpy. Not much flow at all when there's a puck in place (don't want to pull too long or I'll burn out the pump! :)). Machine is on its original pump, so now 10 years old. Found this old thread and recommended replacement pump is the Ulka EAX5, available from Chris' Coffee Service. I went to Chris' web site, its $51. Sweet, I don't need to wait on the phone with WLL. Went to check out and cheapest shipping was $17.5 for something about the size of a matchbox car. Thankfully I tried Amazon and they have it too, EAX5 is $42 and free 2 day shipping with prime.
