Start with www.roasterthing.com/downloads/brewtus.zip which contains schematics and lots of other useful stuff.
The pressure stat either directs voltage to the steam boiler or to the brew boiler so it should have power on 2 terminals while steaming and again on two terminals while heating the brew boiler. Make sure that's true. And with a response like "Sure I can use a VOM. Let me know what to check." I assume you can read a schematic, but if not tell me what you find and we'll continue from there. There is an over temp sensor with a small red button, if you see it, see if it's popped and needs to be pressed back down.
Check the resistance of the heating element which should be in the 10 to 20 ohm range. Don't remember off hand.
