I have not (yet) lubricated the steam joystick. Perhaps I should. My 
thought for a product would be to use DOW 111. That seems to be the product 
for all other things on espresso makers. When I replaced all the gaskets of 
the e61 brew group, I needed to buy a tube of DOW 111 so now I have enough 
for the rest of my life..
