this came out eventually. The impact wrench had to give its best. When I emptied the boiler what came out of it looked exactly like milk. all white water. It all made sense after looking at the heating element which looked like it exploded closer to the bottom and the white powder (or whatever it was) content filled the tank and mixed with the water.
Removing this is not for the faint of heart...
