Hey all,

OK, after years of not having to do anything to my B2 machine, this year I
replaced the o-ring in the vacuum breaker and replaced the p-stat.

I think I'm next looking at a solenoid replacement... I've got the dreaded
"buzz on startup, pump won't shut off", brew gauge jumps to 10 bar, etc, so
far on rare occasion. Really no doubt in my mind that it's the solenoid
that's to blame. Right now it's only occasional, but usually lasts about
10 seconds before the solenoid finally unsticks (vs. about 1 sec to refill
the steam boiler when it doesn't stick).

Every time I make a shot I'll pull a few oz of water from the steam boiler
via the wand to trigger refill, thinking maybe I can keep that solenoid
valve loose and "in a happy place". I also try to remember to flip on the
machine from cold before going to bed figuring if it's going to stick and
make noise, I'd rather it does it then rather than at 5am when the timer
turns it on. My wife tends to launch out of the bed yelling "go turn off
your #$%$ machine!"

Anyway I've read through some previous posts here, and have a rough idea.
I can check the signal coming off the controller before I do anything, but
I suspect it's the solenoid valve sticking, and from what I read, better
to bite the bullet and replace it.

I assume this is what I need:

Has anyone recently filmed or documented what has to be done to replace the
assembly?

As an option, does anyone know of anyone in North Carolina that might
repair it for me?

Any other tips, suggestions or additional things to consider?

Many thanks, Mike
