Aren't these machines great!

The overtemp cutoff switches are the dealies on top of the boilers with the 
tiny press buttons on top and a screw on each side. They click and cut 
power if a boiler ever goes over temperature. After n-years the plastic on 
mine all turned to dust.

Oh, an important quality of life item I forgot, probably you've done it 
but: the portafilter seal in the grouphead... I got a silicone one from 
cafelat about 4 years ago. Still going strong. Highly recommended. The 
black rubber ones would turn into charcoal.

Wish you luck with that brew pressure problem. I hope you are right that it 
is the problem. Does the pump sound change or anything? I'm sort of 
skeptical but I hope you're right. Could it be you have an air leak in the 
line? Or some sort of blockage? Once I had an intermittent brew pressure 
problem like you describe and it was the water intake hose was getting 
squeezed against the machine lid so not enough water getting to pump.
