I am very happy to have found this discussion. The pressure stat on my ten-year-old Brewtus III-V had been leaking for a while, leaving a small puddle under the machine and requiring the pump to switch on every 15 minutes or so for a few seconds. From WLL I ordered a new pressure stat and connecting metal tube. They were very accommodating and (roughly) shaped the tube to fit.
Needless to say, when I attempted to unscrew the old pressure stat from the metal tube the plastic threads of the pressure stat simply crumbled away. I'm glad I had the foresight to get a replacement tube. Here is a picture of the aftermath. You can see that part of the threads from the pressure stat are fused to the nut on the metal tube: [image: IMG_0152.jpg] The process went fairly smoothly. The shaping of the tube was not exact so I had bend it a little further to get the case back on. Also, the online instructions call for 16mm and 18mm wrenches. I found that both the pressure-stat nut and the hard-line nut required a 17mm wrench. Thank you all for making your expertise available on this forum.
