with "visible to the outside" I mean that I can get onto the bridge from outside my LAN, to run services like httpd on the same computer as is my bridging firewall. no, I cannot ping the bridge from outside the LAN, even if I have my firewall completely open (-P INPUT/FORWARD/OUTPUT/PREROUTING ACCEPT). I can go across the bridge without problem, and firewalling works great. > If yes, and if your problem is that your httpd isn't responding from the > outside, I think the problem come from the httpd conf. see above, that shouldn't be the problem. > If no, allright, problem with the bridge/netfilter surely.... > can you tell us if the bridge respond to ping from both inside and outside ? >From inside, everything works fine. From outside, I get no response. Carsten _______________________________________________ Bridge mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.leidenuniv.nl/mailman/listinfo/bridge
