What bothered me more than that was the guy earlier in the episode who
tried do-it-yourself plastic surgery on his ears. I mean, I haven't met
*anyone* at a con stupid enough to take kitchen shears to their ears to go
for the Vulcan look, and I've seen plenty of other sorts of stupidity from
congoers (and heard about the Disclave flooding incident from someone who
was at that con and awake at the time).
