As did I, but then I was mainly interested in his analysis of the underlying
propoganda that re-inforces acceptance of authority in contrast to the
ideology of Star Trek rather than relating the article to SF.
As a visitor from the Culture, I have not read Brin, but have read some
comment about transparency in Gubermint. However, I have yet to read the
words from the man himself.
As an introduction, the Salon articles impressed me with his insight .
