What you would get, I think, is state laws in conservative states outlawing
abortion. This leaves a woman that has decided that she doesn't want to
continue with her pregnancy the choice of either going to a state with legal
abortions, getting a "back room" abortion, or attempting to abort the fetus
herself. The first option is difficult, time consuming and can be expensive.
The second two are dangerous.
If RvW does get struck down I'm willing to bet that the uproar will be
deafening. I'm also guessing that it would galvanize feminists like never
before. IMO it's a crisis we don't want or need.
Has anyone seen Cider House Rules (or read the book?)
