Oh please, Brad.

Consider the context. I don't understand how one person in a thousand can
mistake The Greens (with a *capital* "T") *slash* Green Party USA for being
anything other than a proper noun? Even if you forgot your third grade
grammar that capital letters denote proper nouns, the words "PARTY USA" are
right there in living color. In fact, even the very context of the section
should make anyone fluent in English have their internal mind screaming for
a proper noun at that point. After all, has anyone come "from" the
conservatives? Or "from" the liberals?

Moreover, in the narrow sense, my comments were directed towards Michael
Harney, someone who had given me every reason to believe that he was
familiar with the "Green Party" political movement in this country.

In the broader sense, our list has already had a discussion where we
dissected the party platform of The Greens/Green Party USA clause by clause
in great detail.

Finally, in regards to my intentions - the original post is quite clear.
As part of my broader attack against Ralph Nader, I cited that we should be
very concerned about the extremists who formed the base of his support.
To refresh your memory, the original section in its entirety is:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I'm sorry, but Ralph Nader is an extremist nut, and the major poitns of his
campaign platform, according to his own website, nationalized healthcare,
publicly financed elections, and an end to free trade have all been soundly
rejected by the American people. Even worse, many of his supporters come
from The Greens/Green Party USA, and those people are flat out lunatics,
with almost no understanding of economics, or good governance. The last
thing I want is a system that would enfranchise all of these people on the
fringes, from Ralph Nader to Pat Buchanan to Harry Browne.

Censure this.
