Subject: Sci-Fi Question

> #1.)Why do you read Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror?

I like reading about ideas I am unfamiliar with, or presentations of ideas
in ways I haven't seen before. I like the newness of fresh points of view
and seeing how others deal with conflicts.

Well written prose, interesting fleshed out characters, and a well thought
out plot are all plusses, but I'm willing to accept less if the ideas
presented are interesting enough to be memorable long after I've finished
reading.

There are many that I would like to visit, but until there is evidence to
the contrary, this world has the best fiction available.

I wouldnt want to live in any of the fantasy or horror realms, and most of
the scifi realms would be boring for the average inhabitants.

Riverworld might be a nice place to live. If you die, you just move on down
the river to be around some new people.
