> #1.)Why do you read Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror?

Lots of reasons, actually. #1, it's usually a lot more interesting than
regular fiction. #2, I like it. #3, because I can. I've never actually
devoted a lot of time to analyzing why I like SF and fantasy, any more than
I've tried to understand why I like chicken pot pie or the art of Monet.

I started reading SF when I was 11 or so, and it's been good to read ever
since.

> #2.)What do you look for in each of these genres(i.e. what makes it a
> good read)?

Good writing. I also like interesting concepts, and I have a fondness for
books that deal with complex issues and also for alternate history.

> #3A.)If you had the ability, which book/anthology/movie-Universe within
> the above genres would you choose to live in?

Hurm. I kind of like Philip Jose Farmer's "Riverworld" - you're on a planet
with everyone that ever lived, your food is provided by the grailstones and
even if you die or are killed, you get resurrected somewhere up or
downstream the next day.

Isaac Asimov's "Foundation" would be interesting, also.

Discworld.

> #3B.)Conversely, which one would you NOT want to live in?

Well, Orwell's "1984", as well as S. M. Stirling's "Draka" world.

Oh, and any world in which there was a Cthulhu. brrrrrr. David Gerrold's
"Cthorr" wouldn't be too nice.

Just speaking aesthetically, I'd hate to think I was in a world created by
Piers Anthony.
