It is Evil because it hinders scientific thought in children. F = ma,
V = length^3, etc don't work if you measure force in pounds, mass
in ounces, volume in gallons, length in miles, and acceleration
in feet or inches per second^2.
For several generations, kids were taught that
racism was ok, but suddenly, when they grew up, they
understood that racism was evil. So, we have one or two
generations of people that were deeply racist in their
inner thoughts, but that knew, logically, that they
couldn't be racist. We were taught from birth that
racism was evil, so we can *feel* it as much as
reason it.
The same happens for the USA kids with respect to the unit
system!!! You are taught as kids to use the evil imperial
system, and when you grow up you are enlightned to
the Truth(tm), and you are brought to the Salvation.
Metric is Good and Imperial is Evil. But you still can't
reason in Metric, and keep falling prey to the Evil old
system.
Do it for the kids. Ban imperial units in kid's toys and
TV shows.
