You do get used to it.

But after 5 years, I still make mistakes. Someone asked how cold it was when 
I went snowshoeing and I said "20 below" - thinking "the thermometer read 20 
degrees, and it was below freezing". That works nicely in Canada but not in 
the US.

*sigh*

So, what are we going to use on Mars? We should probably decide before we 
get there. :)
