I agree on the idea of having primaries all at once.
I'd vote in the primary here anyway even if all the slots for presidential
candidates were sewn up, because I have a better shot of having my voice
heard in races for state & local government if I vote in the primary than
if I wait until the general election (when it's pretty much a foregone
conclusion as to which party, and hence at that point which candidate,
will win in most of the more local races).
I actually *did* vote in the primary for a presidential candidate that had
already conceded, because dammit, that was who I was going to vote for
before the New Hampshire primary took place, and I wanted to get that
opinion registered.
