No. One of the Volvo ads I saw on a billboard in Austin made a comment to
the effect that everyone in the city was driving as if they were in a
Volvo....
I eschew certain routes as much as I can, and drive the others often
enough to know just what sort of behavior to expect from the "average"
driver on that road, so as to tune my defensive strategy correctly. Of
course, there is the occasional surprise. (Like almost getting sideswiped
yesterday by a big ol' pickup -- but miraculously enough, we didn't
collide, and I backed off enough for him to pull in front of me instead.
And observed that he was just driving unsafely anyway ahead of me in the
traffic. Sheesh.)
