Personally I rarely remember dreams, unless they're really scare or
really weird. Funny that I never seem to have really good dreams...
I've read that most people don't remember their dreams 10-15 minutes
after waking up. Seems like the part of the brain that dreams
doesn't engage the memory part. But try this sometime: put a
notepad and pencil/pen next to your bed. IMMEDIATELY upon awakening,
jot down a few key words to help you remember the dream. Then put
the pad down and go take your shower. I'll bet you can't remember
the dream by the time you're done in the shower. But if you pick up
the notepad and read just the few words, it'll all come back to you.
Then you'll be able to remember the dream (as well as you remember
anything else considering your age :-). I tried this for a while and
I remembered a lot more of my dreams. But they were mostly inane,
and it was hard to remember to write things down as soon as I woke
up. If I waited even 5 minutes I'd lose it. But it wasn't worth the
effort to keep up.
