It also raises the question of, how good an actor is your average web page
designer?  If your actors are cartoony caricatures of people, then you can
get away with a limited pallet of expressions and emotions and have your
"short" look good.  But if your e-actors are utterly humanlike, then
unless you also know how to make them *act* well, you will have extremely
lifelike images of extremely bad actors delivering dead lines.

Well...not that we don't have that already.
