No shame.  I promise not to snicker either.

There was a flood on import games for Nintendo etc in the late 80's. 
One of them, Zero Effect, IIRC, featured splendidly horrible translation
from the original Japanese to English.  With the rise of abandonware and
emulator, this particular phrase, from one of the cinematic "cut scenes"
was recylced and became a running joke, along with several other choice
gems (such as "we get signal" and "good day gentleman there is no hope
make your time."  etc)
