I don't think it would hurt anything. Quicktime Player would
just take over playing some of those formats. Presumably, QT
wouldn't ask for the file associations it wants if it can't
play those formats, so I don't think it would hurt anything.

As far as I can tell, RealPlayer is the most common one -- mostly
because it often comes bundled with Netscape.
