Kristin, clicking yes should only affect Quicktime files. The QT player can
only play .mov (and .avi?), but it's not going to change file associations
for .mpg or ,ram/.rm stuff.

You can adjust the file association directly, but it's been so long since I
tried to do that on a 95 box I can't remember how off the top of my head.
The Windows Help should tell you, it actually is fairly helpful,
surprisingly.
