To answer the question you posed above:

I thought about it before I wrote my earlier post in which I suggested 
replacing the steering wheel with a joystick.  However, if we give _you_ a 
"fire button", that means we also have to give one to all those with 
"already very aggressive and hostile attitudes out there on the road" -- 
including your friend the truck driver -- which is why I purposely did not 
suggest it.  I thought that hooking up the trigger/fire button to the 
_horn_ would probably be more than enough.  ;-)

(Apologies to anyone who finds this insensitive.  It is not meant that way.)
