I had a similar experience - though TNG was canceled long before I made it
into college. :)

My roomate and I used to refer to laundary as "the fruit of Saturdays."
We would both start our laundary late on Saturday afternoon, and as the
local station aired a three-hour block of Babylong 5, DS9, and Voyager, we
would enjoy folding the laundary and watching sci-fi.
