My take is, this falls under the heading of "extraordinary circumstances".

It's not the first time this month that someone's gone a little counter to
the posting guidelines (which, BTW, should probably be posted again
soon!), and it may not be the last, but given the circumstances of each,
it's understandable.

People have had a lot to be happy about this month, and a lot to be sad
about this month, and with emotions running high, people don't always stop
to think.  (Lord knows, I'm not thinking with my customary carefulness
most of the time these days!)

Let's all just stay cool, and when someone is experiencing extraordinary
circumstances, try to cut a little slack.

but she will NOT be the first person to post news to the list; she will
leave that to someone else in the local calling area...
