I can't remember

- do a websearch and mayube you'll findan online version somewhere. Anyway
these zines/flyers tht are kind of an "alternative" to the official
convention neswletter get passed around Worldcons and major cons. They are
full of things like conspiracy theories saying evil forces were trying to
rig the bidding process for next year's con or taking credit for the
"Libertarian vote" getting some book a Hugo or some site the next
Worldcon. The Libertarians were crowing that they were the ones who got
MilPhilCon voted in instead of the competing Florida bid, which they
portrayed as evil because it was going to be on Disney property (not
really; the hotels being bid were/are not managed by Disney, anyway, but
they painted Florida 2001 as being a scheme of the evil mouse empire.)
They put certain names in boldface indicating that this or that author or
fan is One of Us, oftne on the most spurious evidence. anyway, it's
basically the work of this one guy who I've heard is a bit of a kook. One
story glorified some idiots throwing the panel that was suposed to be in a
room out and declaring the room theirs on a squatters rights basis.(well
the concom has messed up the room scheduling, and nobody showed up for the
panel that was supposed to be in the room.) like this was some kind of
glorious revolution. Mostly it's a laugh riot, really.
