In french, "grange" is a common word meaning barn. Along with the
use of the words "patissire" and "mchant", I am starting to think
that Stratoins might have some french ancestry. We will see in
later chapters if more french words are used.

Wether grange comes from the french word for barn or comes from the
definition given to us by John, it expresses well the fact that the
city is an agricultural center.
