This is an interesting point...... I think that the number of clans that
are "descended" from the Founders themselves are most conspicious by their
absence.  If there *were* a Clan of Lysos, I think we would know about it. 

Indeed, it seems that the Clan system is remarkable in that it has not
produced some kind of monarchy.
