Have you seen the full event? He didn't defend himself. He lost his rag.

Protestor lobs egg from about 3 feet, it breaks over Prescotts shoulder and
back. There's a two second gap in which the 4 police standing right next to
Prescott did nothing, and Prescott looks round at the protestor, to see him
laughing.

Then he punches him in the face, left jab straight to the jaw.

Mayhem ensues.

Protestor spends evening in the cells for assault.

Prescott carries on with his day.

Prescott didn't punch because he thought he was in danger. He punched
because the guy was laughing at him.

Not a great trait in a politician.
