Right or wrong, there are times when a little retaliation sends the needed
message to aggressors.
Having violence directed against you in a manner that is sure to be
humiliating would make one likely to retaliate.
Not that I think that it is right, but it can be just.

I volunteer once a week at a mens group that teaches anger management to men
who have abused their spouses or have commited assault. Its not like I
espouse violence, but there *is* a time to fight. I just hope I never find
that time.
