What's the childhood cancer rate for Aberdeen? Is it 5x, 10x that of the
rest of Europe? The radiation level fetuses are exposed to is much higher
there than elsewhere in Europe. What was the dose rate for those fetuses?
My guess is that they screwed up the dosage calculations. If very low doses
really cause that many cancers in children, then the childhood cancer rate
variation with the variation in natural background radiation should be
extremely easy to measure. It is unmeasurable, so that sets an upper limit.
Dollars to donutes some idiot miscalculated. I have a good idea how that
could happen. You cannot hit a 1 kg fetus with the same dose as a 70 kg
adult and expect the same results...
