As I said it was a Discovery documentary and as such you have to be extremely
sceptical about it. <Snipping that remark wasn't very nice by the way>.

But I do wonder wheather external dosage would do more or less harm then
ingested dosage of radiation. Do radioactive labelled elements built into your
bodysystem do more harm then the same amount of radiation from outside your
body. Why else would ingestion of massive doses of Iodine to prevent pancreatic
cancer in case of a major nuclear disaster work so well. Based on that I can
imagine that radioactivity present in a fetus due to ingestion (so radiation
next to human tissue still in a very early developmental stage) might do a lot
of damage. I was meaning to check into it but haven't gotten around to doing so.
Care to do the honors? If you can manage without getting statistical that is.
