My perception of irony can be summed up by the following question:
Which of the following activities is permitted by most governments?
1) Irradiating someone else's fetus, causing damage or a miscarraige.
2) Irradiating/Removing your own fetus. casuing a miscarraige to alleviate
personal hardship.
3) Irradiating/Removing some other organ of your body to alleviate personal
hardship.
Somehow, #2 is the only one most governments would permit, and it just
doesn't make any sense to me.
