The Netherlands stayed out of WWI for it's entire duration. They were never invaded
nor did they take any part in it. This was especially troublesome on the husband
(Prins Fredrik Hendrik of Prussia who was in origin through and through a German
military man) of our then queen Wilhelmina . The Queen intended to do the same
during WWII but failed on that occasion because of the large support for Germany by
rather German oriented citizens (NSB) who where well established in a lot of high
places. Belgium however is a different case entirely.

Just a minor nitpick there. But don't let that discurage you from mailing. I've
stuck my foot in my mouth on many occasions and my head hasn't been bitten off....
yet <grin>. Folks on Brin-L are usually rather nice. Btw welcome to the list.
