The good news for you guys is that the rumours leaking out of major defence
review right now, suggest that it will be recommended that the US pull a
large number of forces out of Europe, and begin to devote significant
resources to planning on having to defend our allies in Asia over the short
-to-medium term.

The US has always said that we want the missile shield to cover all NATO
members.   I don't know about Australia and NZ - but I'm guessing that we
won't have the resources to do it, at least at first.
